Sports Dietitian/Corporate Nutritionist for Henry's Marketplace
Patti
Milligan, M.S., R.D., is a registered dietitian with more
than 20 years experience, specializing in nutritional science
and preventative medicine. She works full-time for Henry's
marketplace, a chain of natural food stores, where she implements
nutrition and wellness programs with customers as well as
the staff. She also coordinates joint programs with health
care professionals in the community.
Prior
to joining Henry's, Patti assisted Dr. Pat Daily (Cardiac
Surgeon) in opening Daily's Fit and Fresh Restaurant, a healthy,
quick food restaurant near University Towne Center. She also
helped design key vitamin formulas for Dr. Daily's patients.
Patti
has reached thousands of people through her lectures, interviews
on KGTV Channel 10 Staying Healthy reports, KUSI Morning News,
and regular radio reports with Joe Bauer.
Patti
earned her Masters of Science degree in Family Studies and
Consumer Sciences, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from
San Diego State University. She has completed a certified
medical school course in herbology and botanical medicine
from the Wild Rose College of Healing in Alberta, Canada.
Milligan completed her dietetic internship at Veteran's Medical
Center in La Jolla, CA. She earned her undergraduate degree
from Southern Illinois University, where she also completed
4 years in collegiate gymnastics.
