About Maryann

Dr. M. A. is a licensed clinical and consulting psychologist and a recognized authority on family issues. She has a long-standing interest in helping people to improve their health and self-esteem through balancing career and family. This includes their personal and spiritual development over the life span. A staff psychologist at Alvarado Parkway Institute and Aurora Behavioral Health Hospital, she is also trained in mediation and crisis management.

Maryann is an accomplished athlete. She was a tournament tennis player and a marathoner who successfully completed the Boston Marathon several times. She and a colleague developed and taught an eight-week intensive seminar entitled Marathon Running and Mind/Body Techniques for the Competitive Athlete.

Dr. M.A.'s community service consists of appointments by Governor Pete Wilson and Mayor Dick Murphy as well as serving on several local area boards.
